Hello all,

I was trying to simulate a composite nanostructure where spheres are randomly embedded inside a cuboid. The radius of the sphere is 150 nm, the refractive index is 2.5 and the volume fraction of inclusion is 0.1. The refractive index of the cuboid is 1.5 and size 0.82*0.82*1.2 micrometre. I used time domain solver with boundary conditions E=0 in x direction, H=0 in y direction and open add space in z-direction. I also de-embedded the reference plane. Simulation finished successfully but I got high absorption which is not possible since both sphere and cuboid are lossless. I tried to do the exact simulation in frequency domain with unit cell boundary conditions, here I didn't get the high absorption but I am getting multiple reflection peaks with maximum value 1 and minimum 0 which is kind of strange. I have attached the results from both simulations.

Kindly suggest if I am doing something wrong.
