I am trying to make urea phosphate by carrying out reaction between phosphoric acid 85 % & Urea but my problem is final yield is becoming hard after some time so what can i do that my final yield will be soft & free flowing
According to the above reaction, one mole of phosphoric acid is required to react with one mole of urea to give one mole of urea phosphate. This exothermic reaction has been studied by a number of investigators to produce the urea phosphate crystals. two-stage continuous crystallization process for production of urea phosphate by reaction of impure wet-process orthophosphoric acid (about 54% P2O5) and urea with simultaneous addition of a selected acidifying agent (sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, or phosphoric acid) to the reaction mixture where the purity of the crystalline urea phosphate product was improved. using wet process dihydrate method to produce phosphoric acid and gypsum. The mixture product reacts (with 1.1 mole to 1 mole of) phosphoric acid on leaving the second reactor or after crystallization of the gypsum in a pipe reactor. Then the product mixture is filtered from gypsum by a centrifuge, transported to the cooling tower, acidified with 1% sulfuric acid, where production of crystals in hydrocyclone and separation by centrifuge and drying it by air stream in a drier.
