I am working with Small Peptide Aldehydes, specifically the protease inhibitors Chemyostatin and Leupeptin and I want to know quantification methods rather than HPLC.
Thanks! It came to my mind a while ago. For example, I can calculate the concentration based on a standard curve, showing changes of in the activity of a target protease and its substrate, when a chymostatin (with a well-known activity) and the isolated chymostatin are used, right?
Probably. There are kits available. You will have to do some online research. Many kits use NADH (energy transfer) to quantify the activity of the enzyme.
