Hi,
I have data from a semi-structured interview called BPASS, my problem is that the coding system for some questions range from 1-5 while for other questions it ranges from 1 to 4.
Now I wanted to analyze the data with SPSS but I guess before to try anything I have to normalize the range of those items, do you have any suggestions regarding how I can do it?

I would say it depends on the analysis you plan to perform. It doesnt necessarily have to be a problem that the data have different scales. What kind of analysis do you plan to do in SPSS?
If you are using the variables separately, the difference in range doesn't really matter -- and if these are independent variables. you don't need to standardize them because the output will give you standardize coefficients that accomplish the same thing.
On the other hand, if you are planning to add the variables together into a scale, then you should indeed standardize them before hand. In particular, Cronbach's Alpha will assume that the variables were standardized because it is based on correlations.
