I’m studying how queer and neurodivergent practitioners within non-Abrahamic spiritualities embody and transmit “sacred truths” in their communities across historical periods.

What methods, archives, and measures have you found effective for examining embodiment and community impact in these contexts?

I’d welcome recommended sources (ethnographies, oral histories, ritual studies, disability/queer theory), exemplars or case studies, and any ethical or positionality considerations from your own work.

I have included my initial entrance paper to Pacifica on this subject for reference, which is serving as the anticipated basis for my doctoral research.
