Several possibilities and models exist for the modelling and simulation of gasification pyrolysis. Each model has certain advantages and disadvantages. In general, the simulation is based on:

1-a simplified model based on correlations from the literature

2-complex kinetic models to reproduce the good yields of each product at the outlet of the reactor

3- based on thermodynamic equilibrium, the Gibbs reactor is often used in this case. In this case, we may not see all the molecules such as tars in the case of biomass gasification.
