Does anyone have a protocol for ellman's regent test. I was looking at some protocols and one article mentioned using Cysteine Hydrochloride Monohydrate as a standard control. the article also mention using reaction buffer : 0.1M sodium phosphate, pH 8.0, containing 1mM EDTA. the article also mentions when I mix the reaction buffer with the standard cysteine i use mL, but is it possible to use uL instead? if anyone has a protocol and can explain it. I will appreciate it.

This article states teh protocol very clearly (Wondering if it's the one you already read tho) and as for using uL, sure, but you have to adapt the concentrations, the instructions given are simply for having stock solutions, making 30 mL of each standard is somewhat over the top, but it's just a sugestion, you can scale it down as needed as long as you can measure the absorvance.
