A colleague and I are currently working with a large dataset containing information about more or less all protein structures solved using Solution NMR within the last 20 years.
We're trying to figure out if there are any interesting correlations in the data, that could help in future protein determination strategies. However, neither of us are particular experienced with the pratical aspects in the field of protein NMR, and was hoping that we could have some input from people with more 'hands-on' experience.
So, is there anything you would like to know about a protein and/or the NMR strategies involved, that could possibly be derived from a collection of previous protein NMR data, during your work with the protein?
Would you like to know which backbone experiments are best suited for your protein? Would you like to know if higher-dimensional experiments are needed for structure determination? What about optimal conditions? Is deuteration needed? etc. etc.
All answers are welcome!
