Hello all,

consedring the mechanism of enzymatic hydrolysis, such as proteases - peptide bonds, the first step is always the contact between them, then one question comes to mind: is it true that proteases will only work on soluble substrates (proteins)? But there are many studies to increase the solubility of protein using enzymatic hydrolysis......actually I also did some work on this topic. Then, how? How do the protease molecules in aqueous wok on the solid/insoluble protein?

I feel to be stucking in an endless logical loop......Any discussion will be appreciated. Thanks for your help!

Best,

Yuhong
