Production of haploids in bitter gourd through anther culture would allow breeders for an efficient release of pure parental lines and better screening for resistance to diseases. Haploid plant development through androgenesis is highly genotype dependent.

Thank you very much dir for your kind reply. The paper you have attached I've followed it but didn't work for me. Sir androgenic andbgynogenic induction itself is difficult in bittergourd.
