The average experiences of non-specific health problems (eg. fatigue, headache) and low mood (low energy, distress) predicts later clinical-depth somatic diseases, like cardiovascular problems, cancer, etc? Are non-specific diseased an early signs of 'something not good going on in the body'?

I'm aware of many theoretical paper (e.g. Bakal) but non empirical longitudinal, could you share some?
