Hello everyone,
More specifically, I will study both culture medium and cells' metabolomic profil. The analysis (chromatography, MS etc.) will be performed in another lab; hence, I should just do the preparation of samples and then sending them. The transport will be by airplane - 6hr flight.
Does anyone know a lab guide for the process?

thank you, we are now proceeding to cell supernatant and cells extraction for metabolomic analysis. In several protocols, I see LC-MS vials being used; in your experience, could I use simple eppendorf tubes instead? In addition, how long can the extracted samples be stored in -80 °C before analyzed?
We will prepare samples (methanol extraction) and then send them for untargeted LC-MS in another lab abroad. Based on the protocols from Karolinska and Manchester Universities, vials are preferred
