Hello all,

My research study is an Intervention before and after study ( non-randomised) with a control group. I have one intervention group n=30 with multiple clinical variables and patient reported outcome (PROM) questionnaires. These variables were collected for the intervention group at multiple time points using the intervention date as the index date.

The same clinical variables, collected at different time points (using the same index date as intervention) for a different set of 30 participants formed the control

Would a paired t-test for pre-post in each intervention and control groups be appropriate? How best can I measure the rate of change ( if any) in the intervention group and how best can I compare the intervention with the control group?

I was thinking paired t-test and independent sample t-tests but if there are other analyses you can suggest, I would be grateful.

Many thanks in advance

Geeta
