i am working on tungsten based nano-composites, method of production is mechanical milling , i am using PCA (steric acid) . but there are issues associated with the development of MMNcs-Graphene reinforced composites by ball milling,could you suggest me how i need to set paramters,e.g,PCA amount,speed of mill(rpm), to obtain MMNcs-Graphene reinforced composites with optimum combination of properties.
The most important issue is to be sure about suitable dispersion of graphene within your matrix. The initial condition of graphene is very important. They have very high surface energy. You have find an approach for addition of graphene (ex-situ) or try to form it (in-situ) during composite preparation. Beofore being sure about suitable dispersion of graphene none of ball-milling parameters cannot help you.
