I am doing crossing in rice , for pollination i keept panicles in pollination chamber in that sometime the panicle is not flowering well , what is the exact temperature , RH, and light i have to maintain for good pollen load from flower
Rice does well in a warm environment growth at 30 C during the day and 24 C at night would be ideal with a 12 daylight and 12 night schedule. High relative humidity would be favorable to good growth but for producing pollen that flows I suspect at lower relative would be favorable when the anthers start emerging you may want to lower the RH from 75 to 50%. For good pollen viability make sure the plant was well nourished with micronutrients such as Zinc and Boron.
