In my research i want to recycle carbon fiber coming from hybrid mat waste. The hybrid woven fabric contains glass fiber yarn and carbon fiber yarn.
dissolving glass isn’t difficult but it requires strong reagents - usually either strong base (ethanol/KOH will do it) or HF. don‘t use them unless you know what you are doing - both can cause severe, even fatal, burns.
Dear all, if you do search with the keyword 'solvent etching of glass, silica or silicone' you will end up with many less harmful procedures. My Regards

You can use the denatured ethanol (grade, 99 %). Allow the fiber glass to soak for 24 h or 48 h.

Dear all, if for some reasons you are to extract the carbon fiber, think to use piranha reagent (which is a strong oxidizing reagent, a mixture of H2SO4-H2O2), this is extremely agressive and great care and precaution are necessary when using it. My Regards
