Thank you very much for the help, I sent the fungus into Germany, and they did sequencing of ITS, and bioinformatics, however, they identified it as F.equiseti but this fungus morphologically formed the microconidia while in the literature reviews it can not form these conidia, so when I put its sequence within the BLAST appeared multi choices including F.incarnatuam and F. equiseti. Therefore I posted my question to confirm the identification. I repeat my thanks for you.
It is difficult to diagnose Fusarium incarnatum according to the morphology of the colony. Since the shape of fungal colony could be changed even with the types of single carbon substrates. I attached Phenotypic characteristics, possibly helpful for identification of this fungus. Good luck
Fusarium incarnatum-equiseti is considered a species complex (FIESC). I strongly suggest approaching Dr. Kerry O'Donnell who is an expert in Fusarium taxonomy to clarify further and accurately identify your Fusarium!!
You can reach Dr. O'Donnell who is Senior Research Scientist at the following e-mail address: [email protected]
I'm grateful for your help and thank you for serving the science and life.Yes, I used a sequence of ITS through using NCBI, and results appeared the different species including F. incarnatum and F. equiseti, so I posted this answer.
