I need to measure the plasma levels of IL-6 in C57BL/6 mice that have undergone unpredictable chronic mild stress (a stress protocol) for 4 weeks.
Can anyone suggest a good ELISA kit for this? I have low plasma volumes available, and it seems like many kits require 50 ul sample per reaction (in duplicate).
I am wondering if by diluting the samples I risk not being able to detect IL-6?
Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated

Do you have access to Meso Scale Discovery platform? If so you can measure as little as 10uL.

please use the IL-6 ELISA kits from Biolegend. For them you will need even less then 10 uL of your samples (depending on the stress inducer, etc).

I believe I will not need to dilute the plasma to be within the standard curve range -BUT I AM NOT SURE- (I will perform a test run with pooled samples from each group to determine if I need a dilution).
Could you please confirm if this is the kit you were talking about?
