Physicians: What are the most important skills / Information that the Physician should have / know? I.e is it Diagnosis, Complications, Pathology, etc...?
Hello Mostafa,
I guess this is a broad question.
In my opinion it would be a proper history of the patient ( this is where a good diagnosis can be made, where complications can be avoided as well)
How to communicate with patient.. good doc--patient communication skills are very vital.. otherwise the best of knowledge goes down the drain..
There are various skills according to the discipline itself
In this era of information explosion, the physician (and every professional) need to develop skills of critical reading
1: Bed Side Manners i.e Respect of the Patient Privacy And Excellent Patient To Doctor Communication.
2: Good Gesture and Welcoming Behavior towards the Patient.
3: Listening to All the History and Complains of the Patient.
4: On the Basis of All the History taking then make correct Differential Diagnoses of the Patient.
5: Doing Correct Investigations for Correct Diagnosis of the Patients.
6: Prescribing Excellent And Best Available Medicine for the Patient
7: In case of the Referral Guide to the Best Available Consultant in The Specialist Field
8: Think of the Patient as a Family Member or A best Friend so provide the Best Possible Care and Treatment to the Patient.
Regards
