We work with one genus Betula on the territory of Ukraine. We try to diverse different taxa in this genus based on molecular markers. But we have a problem, that traditional molecular markers doesn't show any differences. At the same time, these taxa can be easily distinguished by morphology, anatomy, ecology, cenoecology etc. Maybe, the process of species formation still occurs in this genus and reproductive isolation between taxas has not expressed sufficiently yet. In this way, much of interspecific hybrids are located near the boudaries of different species habitats. Also a great percentage of auto- and allopolyploids is present in this genus. How to select workable markers for distinguishing different species in plants when interspecific hybridisation occur? And how to reconstruct phylogeny most correctly in this case?
