The dynamics of a linear Simple Harmonic Oscillator (SHO) is well studied in terms of the (a) displacement graphs, and (b) phase-space trajectories. For such a conservative system case, the latter evolves as a closed set of elliptical curves, and so forth.
At this backdrop, I am interested to initiate a fresh discussion to infer various detailed aspects on the SHO dynamics with the help of the obtained phase trajectories.
Analogous related dynamical examples may also be welcome and discussed, such as the Duffing oscillator, Van der Pol oscillator, KdV-Burger equation, etc.
