Phase simulation of optoelectronic devices (e.g. semiconductor laser)

How can we simulate phase of semiconductor laser using Agilent's ADS? The usual method of representing the optical signal by its envelope (power) does not allow us to simulate phase of the optical signal. Is it possible to include the optical carrier frequency (THz) in the simulation?

Hi, not sure this is possible at all in ADS.

Use VPIcomponentMaker Photonic Circuits (CM PC), which is specially designed to model semiconductor lasers and integrated photonics applications including their response to applied voltages/currents. Also, there exists an interface between ADS and CM PC which allows you to co-simulate electronic circuits (in ADS) and optical structures/systems (in CM PC)...in case you have built a rather complex project in ADS already.
