* Both software are good for modeling engineering applications. ANSYS fluent is mostly useful for volumetric simulations. COMSOL can also do the same simulations but with different methodologies.

* If you have different physics to a couple, COMSOL can be useful, although you can do that in FLUENT too. But if your simulation is heavily fluid dynamics, go for FLUENT.

* FLUENT is finite volume while COMSOL is a finite element.

Hossein Seyyedzadeh ...Thank you for the response. If speaking specifically for my case, where there r two magnets kept above and below the workpiece (say any para or dia magnetic material), what will be the specific governing equation we will be using?

Also, what are the boundary conditions needed to simulate the current scenario??

Can you share step by step procedure for the same?

Comsol has magnetic field with no current s (mfnc) module to solve permanent magnet related problems. You can also go with tutorial available online at different platforms (you tube.) It has default relation that required some input variable such as magnetization value for simulation. In my opinion COMSOL provides more easier way to solve above problems.
