Concentrations of PCDD/F, DL-PCB and NDL-PCB are lower in zooplankton (primary consumers and lower-trophic-level invertebrates) than in phytoplankton (primary producers).
I’m interested in levels of these substances in zooplankton (e.g. copepods), especially from Mediterranean area. I found a few publications, some a bit dated.
In particular which concentrations can be considered of concern at this marine food web level?

have you tried to perform a query in the USEPA ECOTOX databases? It is possible that in that databases you will find effect concentration in different species... and also if you are interest in some species in particular you can search using the spiecies name!

Also, I tried to look into heavy metals toxicity for copepods and found similar difficulties. Much of the work appears to have been done for freshwater systems and you're more likely to find studies on Daphnia.
