Great inclusion, Xavier, but I tend to believe that the northern advance was due to husbandry, not cereal crops. There is archaeological evidence for the impact of Indo-European culture (carts and cattle) into Denmark and the virtual complete displacement of farmers there and subsequent changes in the use of the land. As this occurred c2,500 BCE, it fits the recognised picture.
I also believe in complexity, not simple pictures of the past, so anything is possible.
