Would it be possible for Research Gate personal page to place tabs to differentiate into folders such as "journal publications", "books/book chapters" and "conference papers"? It would be more practical than now that all the topics are followed according to the publication date and mixed up.
There are no folders, but for each research item a type is defined. When you open https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Xavier-Delclos/research, note the navigation column to the left. There you can select various types of publications. Is this more or less what you are looking for?
I think this might not be feasible on ResearchGate, but when uploading a paper, there could be options to select the type of paper or presentation. This selected information could potentially appear on ResearchGate right after the manuscript title.
