I have computed multiple Kendall tau-b and Spearman rho on SPSS. For some of my instances, Spearman rho index is 1 and the Kendall tau-b is 0.988. It should be also the Kendall tau-b 1. How come?
I checked how I imported data from Excel to SPSS and I think I am correct.
Maybe someone had a similar experience?
Google each method and note the differences between the methods. They are not exactly the same. Best, D. Booth
Thanks D. Booth, Yeah true, i agree with you. I have done a small experiment. It is SPSS which approximates the values. So, Spearman rho has been assigned to be 1 but it is actually not 1. Then, there is no contradiction with the value of Kendall tau-b. Francesco.
Hello Frances Vaughan. Please upload a CSV file with the data you used for your little experiment. Others (including me) might like to verify what you have found using SPSS or other stats packages. CSV is a convenient format that anyone should be able to import. Thank you.
