Nodular sclerosing HLIs the most common subtype and is composed of large tumor nodules showing scattered lacunar classical RS cells set in a background of reactive lymphocytes, eosinophils and plasma cells with varying degrees of collagen fibrosis/sclerosis.

Mixed-cellularity subtypeIs a common subtype and is composed of numerous classic RS cells admixed with numerous inflammatory cells including lymphocytes, histiocytes, eosinophils, and plasma cells without sclerosis. This type is most often associated with EBV infection and may be confused with the early, so-called 'cellular' phase of nodular sclerosing.

Lymphocyte-rich Is a rare subtype, show many features which may cause diagnostic confusion with nodular lymphocyte predominant B-cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (B-NHL). This form also has the most favorable prognosis.

Lymphocyte depletedIs a rare subtype, composed of large numbers of often pleomorphic RS cells with only few reactive lymphocytes which may easily be confused with diffuse large cell lymphoma. Many cases previously classified within this category would now be reclassified under anaplastic large cell lymphoma.

You probably need to stratify based upon the subtype, and you probably need to make sure that the pathologic classification is correct.

There is something called the Richter Transformation with CLL that sounds like it is sort of similar. There might be an eponym for the Lymphocyte-rich Hodgkin type progressing to a B-Cell lymphoma, but I am not familiar with that,

No. It is a type of Hodgkin. With modern chemotherapy the prognosis of subtypes has approached each other.

One could always split into subtypes in analysis if there appears to be significant differences.

Richter lymphoma is transformation of CLL into aggressive large B CELL

NLPHL is a distinct entity of HL, different from classical HL (cHL) both immunophenotypically [NLPHL cells express CD20 and lack CD15 (LeuM1), CD30, and CD11b, whereas cHL cells lack surface CD20 and express CD15 and CD30]. Moreover, NLPHL has a more indolent clinical course, that resembles that of low-grade lymphomas, such as FL, and responds well to Rituximab-based therapies.

The NLPHL cells corresponding to HRS (Hodgkin'-Reed Sternberg) cells in cHL are called "popcorn" cells. Besides CD20, they also express other normal B-cell differentiation markers, such as CD19, CD22 and CD79a. Moreover, NLPHL can transform to DLBCL as FLs.
