NIRF imaging agent labeling . How to conjugate DiR with nanoparticle?

x1,1-dioctadecyl-3,3,3,3 tetramethylindotricarbocyanine iodide (DiR) is NIRF imaging agent. I was trying to see how can I conjugate this agent with particle? if anybody can provide reference, it will be great help.
