Hello, I have a doubly clamped nano-beam and I want to obtain its natural frequencies for: 1- Low stress and 2- High stress using COMSOL software. How can I involve the impact of the stress level in this software?
I obtain the natural frequencies of the beam using eigenfrequency study node but it is so much different than what we obtained through experiment. We thought this difference is maybe comes from the stress assumption that is ignored in the comsol.
I appreciate any comments and feedback in advance.
For those that may have the same problem: There is two kind of frequencies, modulus-dominant and tension-dominant regimes. Use combination of both of them and find the stress using experimental frequency and add the obtained stress as initial stress in the COMSOL. You should get what you want.
Is it not just a question of pre-stressing? Right-click on the Solid Mechanics-Linear Elastic node to see your options. If you have the stress coming from another study, you can use the results from the first study in the second study.
