Myelin vs Myelin? - FAQS.TIPS

The myelin in CNS is produced by Oligodendrocytes while it is produced by Schwann cells in the peripheral nerves. Does that make any difference? Are the two myelin types different? Why do we have two different manufacturing units for the same product and why are the two factories located at different and distinct locations?

Hello, good evening, I am a PhD student in biomedical sciences of Colombia, for this message I'm with you because I'm trying to grow schwann cells but the cells do not proliferate you know what can happen, I appreciate your have a Schwann cell growth protocol or something special with which you should take special care.
