Same as title.

I am implementing some laser scanning microscope to live cell imaging.

But my microscope's manual stage(Bx-51) makes z-drift up to 20micron during 6 or more hours of recording.

I tighten manual locking mechanism that all I have.

And Object lens, Stage temperature was fixed on 37'c with PID Controller.

I can see z-drift occurs by even eyepiece.

And additional problem is, because my system was based on laser scanning system, it occurs some random x-y drift in micron scale at times.

How can I solve ,or at least minimize, this problem?

Regards
