Hello dear all researchers, as we all know for the single sphere (Monomer) we have Mie solution of the Maxwells equations. By using Mie theory, we can easily calculate the multipolar effects (dipole,quadrupolar.. contribution to scattering cross section). But for the dimmer and trimer , Mie theory cannot be applied. There are three famous softwares, nowadays, very famous, Lumerical FDTD, COMSOL and CST. in three of them, only COMSOL allow us to calculate the multipolar effect from the following example:

https://www.comsol.com/model/multipole-analysis-of-electromagnetic-scattering-31901

But this example only gives me accurate results in case of a single sphere. For dimmer, I have modified example and get the result which is as attached.

I want to ask that how can I solve this issue?

Can we use Lumerical FDTD and CST to calculate the multipolar effect??

is there anyone who has experience of modifying that example?? How can I modify that example??

Thanks
