MTT assay was performed in HeLa cells for di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate in the micromolar working range of 1-3-10-30-100-300-1000-3000. According to the results, while cell viability decreased up to 1000 micromolar, cell viability at 3000 micromolar was higher than 1000 micromolar. Are these consequences possible for endocrine disruptors (such as the cell developing resistance to the endocrine disrupting chemical after a point of high concentration)?
Is there any idea?
