MtDNA during ChIP?

Does a regular Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) experiment of cultured human cells fixed with 1% formaldehyde, lysed-incubated-washed and reverse crosslinked with appropriate buffers precipitate mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA)? If not, what is the best ChIP protocol to enrich for mtDNA? Thank you.
