I am measuring a gene which is involved in differentiation of a cell. During differentiation its level is high, compared to undifferentiated state. Upon terminal differentiation of cell, mRNA level goes down significantly compared to differentiating cells.

I want to know, whether if I measure the same at protein level, will it be the same difference? Does all mRNA gets copied to protein? At the moment, there is commercially available antibody to probe at protein level.
