Can anyone suggest me morphology of this cell line- I hv a dubt, is this only sperical morphology or dual with fibrocytic too?
I have read that mostly it should be circular and it will form fibrocytic only when their is some kind of stimulus?
I am not getting any contam in culture but their is dual morphology and background.
please suggest same.
Figure 1 in this paper illustrates the morphology of RAW-264.7 cells which we cultured.
This is what the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) shows for their general morphology. All ATCC cell lines are verified. They looked pretty much like this every time I grew them, as you can see that's basically what Sheng-Nan Wu's publication shows too. If most of the cells are totally circular they're either not attached or unhappy.
In addition to morphological uniqueness, RAW-264.7 cells can functionally express the activity of inwardly rectifying potassium (Kir2.1-encoded) channels.
