Modflow appears to use the height of water table to determine transmissivity in an unconfined aquifer (as expected), even when those cells are covered by a reservoir (using the RES1 package). Shouldn't transmissivity of the cells beneath the reservoir be determined by the aquifer thickness to the bottom of the reservoir (essentially acting as a confined aquifer in that region)? If so, are there any neat methods to do this.
