hello every body, I was trying to simulate fluid flow and heat transfer in axisymmetric vertical channel but when I set all condition and solve the case I got this massage (Divergence detected in AMG solver: ads-0). and when I changed 2D space to planar case is solved. what is the problem? could anyone tell me what is the problem? I tried to refine the mesh but same problem. thanks in advance

Actually, many different parameters may be the reason. Firstly, check the general and basic options such as boundary conditions, scales, properties of operating fluid and related adjustments. Second, if all of these are correct, reduce relaxation factors and time step (if it is transient).

Dear Emad I already checked all parameters that you are mentioned but the problem is still stuck when I choose axisymmetric 2D space but when I put option planar the case solved I just want to understand what is behind it? Thanks very much for your response

the reasons for this may be many
but one of the reasons may be the direction of the axis of symmetry is to be in FLUENT only the x-axis
Yes May be. I will try to do symmetry with x-axis because I was make this symmetric plan with y-axis. thanks so much
