During pregnancy as the abdominal area becomes heavier (as with some gentlemen who guzzle up too much beer) the lower back lor dosis increases. In an excessive Lordosis posture the balance of muscles of the front and back can be compromised by several factors including a tightness of the muscles on the front of the thigh (Quadriceps), the deep abdominal (Iliopsoas), and the lower back (Erector Spinae). Excessive lordosis can affect the lower back in several ways: It can increase the risk of muscle fatigue and spasms. It can put added pressure on the disks, increasing the risk of microtears. And excessive lordosis can cause inflammation of the facet joints of the vertebrae.
The pelvic tilt exercise relieves the tension an prussure caused by thi excessive lordosis.
