i had read that SI joint hypermobility causes pelvic floor muscle weakness due to the alteration in the position of ilium,it happens in upslip, anterior rotation, does any body have scientific reviews supporting or opposing this
I used to work with patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, but as I was a nurse not a physiotherapist, this is a little beyond my knowledge level, but is an interesting topic. I hope there is something relevant here for you:
This might be useful but I have not been able to access the full text:

Article Rehabilitation of Pelvic Floor Muscles Utilizing Trunk Stabilization
Pelvic floor stability depends on: 1- healthyt stable collagen chasias of the pelvic organs and the pelvic floor second stratum with its condensations (the pelvic ligaments). 2- healty intact internal urethral sphincter (IUS),, internal anal sphincter (IAS), healthy intact vagina and heathy intact pelvic ligaments.3- intact reactive nerve supply ( afferent somatic, CNS nerve centres, intact thoraco-lumbar alpha sympathetic nerves).
If sacroiliac joint dysfunction is a part of injury to one of those factors or leads to injury of one or more of them then this leads to pelvic floor dysfunction.

I hope my efforts to explain the relation is successfu.
