I am currently preparing for my experiment, which involves dissecting mice and obtaining the cecum to assess microbial composition. I would like to seek suggestions regarding the optimal time of day for dissection whether it is better to do so in the morning or evening to minimize microbial fluctuations.

Additionally, if there are any important factors to consider prior to dissection that might influence the microbial community or sample integrity, I would greatly appreciate your insights.
