my compound hav trityl group....and methyl ester...i want to hydrolyse ester without affecting trityl group......plz give some solution
Please show the full chemical structure of your compound.
You might be able to get selective hydrolysis under mild basic conditions using a base which has bulky hydrophilic groups.
Alternatively you could try enzymatic hydrolysis of the ester.
