I am interested to reduce fluorescence while working with raman spectroscopy. Could someone suggest me method to reduce fluorescence. I know some of the methods like removing flourescent impurities or photo bleaching. But these both can not be applied in my case.
PS. I measuring raman signal of czts nano particles.
SERS-active metal nanoparticles or substrate can both quench fluorescence and increase Raman signal.
Zhou (J alloys Compd 574 2013 272) reported the Raman spectrum of CZTS np. Usually, in order to avoid luminescence, the Raman laser excitation wavelength is chosen to be one that is not absorbed by the target system: i.e., in the near IR or sometimes UV wavelength. Traditional methods to reduce fluorescence involve cooling the sample, diluting it into an inert matrix, etc
Peter thanks for your answer but problem in my case is that i have only two lasers 532nm and 633nm. I don't have a range of lasers. I will try to read about diluting my np into inert substance
