Method for dissolving Anodized aluminium oxide (AAO) membrane in a mild solvent (with pH between 4 - 9) without applying heat?

Please is it possible for AAO to dissolve in an acid/base with pH around 4-9 by mere leaving it in the acid/base for a long time or is there any other means through which I can get rid of AAO template without applying an acid/base with extreme pH?

I'll also appreciate suggestions of other inorganic porous template which can be dissolved in mild solvents.

AAO gets easily dissolved in Methanol at room temp over 24hrs. I suffered from such loss while trying to clean it for sonicstion. But perhaps this can be useful tip for you.
