When running meta-regression on continuous moderator variables in CMA I get the error message: "Cannot run meta-regression when 'Use the mean' is selected for comparisons, outcomes, or time points." Has anyone come across this error? Any thoughts on why it would pop and what I can do about this?
You must be running CMA version 2 because version 3 doesn't readily give this error. I'm pretty sure that you have at least one study with more than one level of a moderator variable. That can happen when you have more than one outcome, time point, comparison, etc. There are two ways to avoid this problem. If you'll reply and attach your CMA file, I'll show you how I would handle it. It is a little too complicated to explain via email when I don't have all the details.
