I haven't heard of designated transfection protocols for MCF-10a, but the cell line is known to be senescent (see https://www.atcc.org/products/all/CRL-10317.aspx#characteristics) and you will need effective reagents in order to get good transfection results. I'd try some other breast cancer transfection kits (e.g. https://altogen.com/product/mcf-7-transfection-reagent-breast-cancer-htb-22/) and see if you can get good results with some optimization of protocols.
However, MCF-10A is not at all a senescent cell line. Based on the literature, I have seen some protocols with Effectene and I will give a try on that. If anyone has some further suggestions, please share
