I am interested in control methods used to prevent pest populations causing havok to agricultural industry. In particular I am most interested in biological control methods. If anyone knows any information, both recent and historical, I would be grateful.

Sorry I am slow to pick up on this but Plutella xylostella is a major global pest which is highly resistant to chemical pesticides so has become a focus for a great deal of biological control research. To add: Ceratitis capitata, Frankliniella occidentalis, Bemisia tabaci, Myzus persicae (for some of them reviews are available too). I guess also on a few nematode species a huge amount of research was done, but cannot say which is were most studied.
Forgot locusts such as Locusta migratoria or Schistocerca gregaria.
