In fact I am looking for a reference telling me these maximum allowed concentrations that does not have much negative effect over the decomposition of HP?
All depends on the grade of HP solution (e.g. if it is industrial, chemically pure, food grade, or reagent grade, etc.). Basically, pure solutions contain up to 0,00005% Fe (means 0,5 ppm as cations). Whereas HTP grade (most MIL specs) allows up to 0,2 ppm... I guess larger amount (e.g. 1 ppm and above) may slowly accelerate the rate of HP decomposition over the "background" level...
do you have any information about other metal ions that have the ability to decompose HP and in fact the right issue is the concentration of them not the metal itself?
