Hi all!
In our study we try to explain why and how organizations create new processes. It is slightly different from process optimization or process innovation. So we look for validated measurements for process innovation (not "innovation process", not "innovation"). Does anyone have an idea?
Of course, if you have something on innovation only which might be applicable for process innovation, let me know.

Have you consulted DOI 10.1007/s11187-016-9743-8 ? Another relevant source might be Trantopoulos, von Krogh, Walling and Woerter (2017) deals with the IT side of process innovation, based on an empirical analysis of representative data from the Swiss Innovation Survey (SIS).

Unfortunately, I could not find the paper Trantiopoulus et al (2017), since it is located by a strange library our university has no access to. If you have the paper, I would appreciate if you send it to my directly.
Concerning the first paper: I did not found a measurement questionnaire on process innovation. The authors made a qualitative interview and derived a single variable. I think this would not suffice for our quantitative approach.

The recommended paper goes in line with what we need. Process innovation is, unfortunately, only a dummy variable in the analysis. I think the paper focuses mainly on product innovation and process innovation is only a control variable, isn't it?

For a long time time I was knvolved in mobile base station development. When developing radio equipment decibel ( dB ) is the issue. To those who do do not know I usually explain that three dB means twice as good (or bad). When talking about improvements I used to say that if you discuss an improvement of less tan one dB (26%) just forget it. In many contects you should not go for anything less than 3. Quick improvements that offer one dB improvements are OK. If they take time and money do not go for anything less than 3 dB ( twice as good).
